Artist Statement

Art began for me with abstract piano

improvisation and frenetic violin solos but visual art

contains a deeper, unexplainable world.

My artistic process is fluid, and even the

subject matter may change over the course of work.

The image completes itself and the end result is

often surprising.

Highly detailed, my work often includes human figures,

abstract symbols and impossible landscapes.  I aspire

to combine the methodical detail of the Dutch

Masters, the fantasy of Odilon Redon's etchings and

the absurdity of the surrealists' exquisite corpse.
